Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

Happy Birthday to my nephew Ethan Alexander Lynn. His birthday was a week ago but I haven't had much time to blog.

Here is only a few hours old. He was a beautiful baby and so well mannered. He was always a good baby :-)

Here is a picture of the family a year later. Isn't he adorable. Curly hair and those piercing blue eyes.
He looks alot like Mary when she was the same age, but he has his daddy's eyes.

They came up from Hot Springs for the party. Ethan's Grandma Lynn flew down for the occasion!
We all had a good time and spoiled him with all kinds of fun toys :-)

Well I had a cake I was going to make but I had to get rid of it. So we had to settle for a store cake.
I felt so bad. I do not like store cakes anymore.
But anyhoo...

Happy Birthday Ethan! Aunt Nay loves you!!

Alice In Wonderland Murder Mystery

One of the teens in our church had an Alice in Wonderland Murder Mystery Birthday party. Rebekah and I did all the decorating and I made the cake. She wanted a top hat that looked old with patches. I will try to get some pics of the decorations up soon. They were absolutely amazing!!

This was a three tier round cake. She opted for all three tiers to be Red Velvet. Turned out beautifully!

Little Rock Zoo

Saturday, we were able to attend the opening of the new Penguin exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo.
We were able to bring guests also, so we invited Jon, Rebekah and the boys. Jonathan had such a good time. He absolutely loved the penguins.

Michael had a good time too. He really liked the monkeys or anything that made loud noises.
Steve and Jenn were there as well, so I got to spend a little time with my adorable niece as well.

Here are some pictures that David and I took together.
It was a pretty chilly day, but we had a great time with the family!

The Ponderings of a Politian's Wife

I love to go to the Capital with David. Any chance I get I will go with him.
I think it is so neat to watch everything that is going on.

I started out the day at the Capitol at David's Transportation Committee Meeting.
He looks so good in a suit :-)

Jennifer and I headed to the Governor's Mansion, where Ginger Beebe hosted a Luncheon for Legislative Spouses. We had a good time chatting with some of the other wives.

After Lunch we took a tour of Arkansas Children's Hospital. I was very excited about taking the tour. I worked at a children's hospital when I lived in Oklahoma and I loved working there. The tour brought back many good memories for me :-)

I took this pic when we were on the helicopter pad on the top of the building. It was a beautiful day and the view was gorgeous.

After the tour we headed back to the Capital and caught the end of the session.

Can you see my Handsome Honey?

All in all it was a great day!
I am thanking for the Lord allowing us the opportunity to serve the people of Arkansas.
